Carbon is on a mission to change online advertising. Publishers don’t want to cover their articles in ads that make little money, advertisers don’t want to waste money reaching the wrong people and users don’t want disruptive ads that intrude on their privacy.

That’s why we’ve built Carbon, a best in class data management platform to make the web better for everyone. We are connoisseurs of data, and provide a platform for publishers to manage their first party data, get value from it through our suite of monetization products and increase their income through direct deals with advertisers. We are constantly improving our product and pushing what can be done with data whilst maintaining our ethical-by-design mantra.

We are proud of our track record of onboarding junior employees with a successful internship programme in its fifth year and an award-winning KTP programme with Durham University. We value openness, communication and supporting our employees to be the best they can.

About Clicksco and Carbon

Clicksco is a leader in the mining and manipulation of big data in the retail, finance and travel sectors, providing lead generation, web search, comparison shopping and affiliate marketing services. We have partners that include Google, Yahoo and Amazon and we work closely with Durham University with an award winning KTP programme and PhD sponsorship.

Carbon is an intent data management platform that understands online customer behaviour and intent to drive the most profitable outcomes. We process 150m+ monthly uniques and have over 3.5bn data points in our data store. We process and analyse this data using data science and machine learning algorithms to offer insights into online consumer needs, behaviours and intent. These can be actioned through the creation of customer cohorts and personalisation to drive intelligent customer acquisition.

Handling and processing this volume of data is a challenging problem and our data scientists and data engineers work hard to find highly performant algorithms that deliver the insights in a timely manner.

At Carbon we take pride in attracting the brightest minds, and to do so we’ve created a highly collaborative, open and friendly working environment that is just as intellectually stimulating as it is fun. Our great office facilities – soon to be at the heart of Middlesbrough’s tech scene in the new Albert North development – includes free refreshments, pool & table-tennis tables, games consoles and we have regular social events. From a tech perspective we offer technologists the opportunity to apply their skills to real world business problems, using a range of languages and technologies.
